Thanks to the political climate, this irrational and scientifically tenuous theory could wind up costing you and me TRILLIONS of dollars to do... what? Perhaps nothing. This is not hyperbole. The cap-and-trade bill before the current congress will cost U.S. taxpayers an estimated $4 TRILLION to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about as much as China puts into the air each time it opens a new coal-fired power plant -- and they're opening about two a week. We can't afford that kind of money for something so utterly unproven.
